LOCAL MEETING IN DUBROVNIK WITH STAKEHOLDERS

Dubrovnik (HR), 5th June 2014. DUNEA managed a local meeting on COASTGAP project and the Bologna Charter in particular, to ensure the widest awareness, sharing, transfer and diffusion of the capitalizing outputs of COASTGAP to the targeted network: relevant institutions in Dubrovnik Neretva Region and 22 local government units were invited to participate, to be introduced with the project COASTGAP and Bologna Charter and its benefits, to provoke and improve their awareness, collect needs and requests, involve them into the project as users, provide them with project's outputs/BPs, invite them to formally adopt them.


COASTGAP TECHNICAL MEETING IN LIGURIA

 Genoa (I), 4-5th June 2014: in the framework of the COASTGAP project activities, Region Liguria, RERA and Split-Dalmatia County representatives gathered for a two days technical meeting concerning the implementation of the Coastgap best practices in the Liguria Region. Visits to the Genoa Vesima beach and Genoa Vernazzola beach and a field trip to the western Liguria coast were carried out.


TECHNICAL MEETING ON BP11 - WEB-CAM NETWORK

Florence (I), 21st May 2014: Toscana Region, the University of Genoa, the University of Florence and ISPRA gathered to discuss and work on BP11 - WEB-CAM NETWORK. Proposed by Liguria Region, this BP consists in the creation of a web-cam network and a video-monitoring data management system using a software designed by the University of Genoa, the so-called “beachkeeper +”, developed during the projects Beachmed and Resmar.


PROJECT COASTGAP MET THE DGs OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION

Brussels (B), 15th May 2014: in the framework of project activities, 4 COASTGAP partners (Regions of Lazio, Emilia-Romagna, REMTH and PACA) met DGs ENV, REGIO, MARE and RESEARCH to discuss the contents of the Bologna Charter and the related coastal-marine best practices in order to promote their capitalisation within some initiatives of the DGs themselves. The meeting was hosted by the IMC-CPMR, external partner of the project. Conclusions of the meeting


TECHNICAL MEETING ON BP2 - SICELL

Rome (I), 7th May 2014: Region Emilia-Romagna and the Ministry of Public Works of Cyprus, accompanied by its external consultants Dion. Toumazis & Associates met in Rome to discuss about the progress of the BP2-SICELL capitalisation and implementation activities. The discussion also focused on the Bologna Charter and the Joint Action Plan. 



PROMOTION OF COASTGAP PROJECT AT THE EEA

Copenhagen (DK), 4th April 2014. Gonzalo C. Malvarez of the University Pablo Olavide of Seville, COASTGAP partner, presented the brand new COASTGAP brochure at the European Environmental Agency Headquarters, taking advantage of an arranged meeting on post-PEGASO initiatives of significance for the EEA. The Director of the PAP/RAC Zeljka Skaricic and Françoise Breton of UAB (PEGASO project leader), both related also to the COASTGAP project, attended the meeting.


COASTGAP AT THE CAP PROJECTS MEETING IN MARSEILLE

Marseille (FR), 1st April 2014. The Department of Hérault, COASTGAP partner, attended the Capitalization Projects Meeting, managed by the MED JTS with the aim of discussing about the financial progress of the projects, the evolution of the capitalization projects and finally the opportunities for the cooperation between projects.


COASTGAP AT THE WORKSHOP OF THE PROJECT CASSANDRA

Rome (I), 1st April 2014. The Lazio Region presented the Macro-project Beachmed 3 at the Workshop of the project Cassandra (Catastrophes simulating software and risk assessment) held at "Sapienza" University in Rome.
